Hey this message is for anyone who has a Dell 1525 laptop WITH internal webcam AND mic.
This installed great, a few bumps along the road. The Dell website has great instructional videos, though. I watched them before installing.
The part arrived QUICKLY as expected, thank you so much!
The part was very clean and in an anti-static wrap, bubble wrap and no damage was noted.
I am very happy with the quality of the part. It fits fine except a few things:
People who have a webcam/mic ass'y with their computer, need to know this, that the inverter is slightly different, so you can see that it isn't quite as bright as the original. (When I put mine in, the FN+down or up respectively works, but makes a strange humming noise when at low level.) The internal bezel (casing) for the webcam/mic assembly that is attached to the inverter for the old part is NOT included, so I had to jury-rig this and snap the new bezel in front of the old bezel (internal) and so therefore, the screws don't fit. :( But! I guess I don't mind a jury-rigged system haha, I have it taped together for now. I guess I will eventually upgrade to the Samsung LCD part that it came with. (239$ from Dell directly.)
Good luck!! Hope you don't have as much trouble as I did installing, but I LOVE the quality of the LCD. Thanks so much.
Total install time: about 2 hrs, 1/2 hr tear-down, 1/2 hr install of new part, the rest figuring out how to snap the other bezels together and get the screws back in!

I am very pleased with the laptop screen I purchased. It is usually very hard to find a moderately priced part for any Dell product and this one was half what I would have paid through Dell. It was pretty easy to install (I work in IT software) even though I had not installed a screen before. The picture is crystal clear.

One of the most aggravating problems to debug is an intermittent technology issue. In my case, the original screen would run great & bright for about 5 minutes then shut itself off. After reading several blogs and scouring the internet, it became clear that I needed a replacement screen. The product offered herein was wrapped professionally and was shipped in multiple layers of bubble wrap to protect it. The first time I plugged it in, the screen worked and all was well in the universe again. Thanks, Greg
